Andrew Bogut-High Fiving Himself when nobody else would

This is one of my favorite youtube clips ever. It's simple, hilarious, and short.

On another note, I'd like to make a short commentary on the NBA playoffs.

It's been a great NBA playoffs. One of the most exciting I've seen in awhile. Starting from the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics series where almost each game was legendary, up to now, watching Lebron, Kobe, Anthony, and Howard playing against some great competition. The only thing that's bothering me about these playoffs? The amount of ridiculous fouls, flagrant fouls, and technical fouls that have been called.

From Bill Simmons' ESPN post regarding Game 3 of the Magic and Cavs series and Game 4 of Lakers vs. Nuggets:

"The two teams combined to attempt 96 2-point field goals, 43 3-pointers and a staggering 86 free throws. In other words, there were nearly nine free throws for every 10 2-point field goal attempts. Egads. The next night, Los Angeles and Denver combined to play a similarly brutal game: 113 2-point attempts, 55 3-pointers, 84 free throws. Yuck."

This is why I only watch NBA playoff games on TIVO now. It's getting ridiculous. To the refs: Let the players play. PLEASE.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

HELLZ YEAH, IT'S FRIDAY...LONG WKEND...BBQ'S AND SUNSHINE!!...
anyways, besides sharing the love of the wkend with all of you, I wanted to promote probably the greatest invention in the WORLD.

THAT'S RIGHT, DOWNY WRINKLE RELEASER...IF YOU DON'T KNOW, NOW YOU KNOW!! I saw some guy in the aisle of Wal Mart spraying himself...yes, he was using it in Wal Mart and put it back on the shelf. Anyways, I asked him what he was doing and he said he had an interview but didn't have time to iron. So what does he do? Goes to Wal Mart and sprays himself for FREE! GENIUSSSSSS

Unemployment

Unemployment. What can I say about it that hasn't been said already? It sucks. Nobody is immune to it. And I mean, NOBODY. I thought I was immune to it as an accountant, because I thought to myself "EVERYBODY needs an accountant." But damn was I wrong.

I was recently laid off, due to what the partners were calling a business decision. Was part of me relieved because I wasn't happy at my previous employer? YES. Does part of me wish I was still working there? YES. I miss my friends the most, and the relationships I built with people. I miss just having a stable job day to day. Now I spend my days furiously looking for any job. And you know what I found out? There are no great accounting jobs out there because every accounting firm is laying off people!

Sometimes, I feel like this was a sign from God, to finally make a change in my life because Lord knows I have not been happy for a while. Maybe this will help motivate me to find a better life.

I know so many of you are going through the same, uncertain frustrating times and I feel you on that. Spending your days looking for ways to pass your time (I'm using the time to hopefully lose some weight!), feeling anxious because you don't know when the next opportunity will come. It's horrible, knowing you might have to live off a crappy unemployment check from week to week

Do I think I could be unemployed for a while? YES. But, at this point, all I can do is stay optimistic and hope for the best. And for those who are also unemployed, I hope you can do the same.
